Built by Artists,
for Artists.
Founded by Kenan Thompson and John Ryan Jr., Artists for Artists (AFA) is an independent studio developing and producing film, television, and original IP — where creativity and ownership stay in the hands of the people who make it. With a mission to empower creators and bridge art and commerce, AFA builds co-owned ventures with artists and brands, helping talent retain rights while partnering with global distributors.
Led by Thompson — a six-time Emmy nominee and Saturday Night Live’s longest-tenured cast member — and veteran producer Ryan, AFA’s projects include Paramount+’s Good Burger 2, the most-watched domestic launch for an original film in Paramount+ history, and two films in development: a remake of the cult classic Sleepaway Camp and Macho Man, a biopic on wrestling legend Randy Savage. AFA champions bold, human storytelling across film, television, live events, podcasts, and celebrity commerce — built on the belief that when artists lead, everything gets better.
